Steps up to Delph Donkey path.
Turn right at the top and proceed along the Delph Donkey path. This is a lovely section of the walk with the disused railway track providing walkers with a sheltered and picturesque route. The Delph Donkey railway line was opened in 1851 and ran between Delph and Greenfield. Early trains were actually pulled by horse, hence the name Delph Donkey. The line allowed mass travel of goods, and people, to and from Saddleworth. The line eventually closed in 1955.

Leave the Delph Donkey path at Mows Hall Lane. Walk down the lane and at the junction with Den Lane keep left down the hill. Turning left at the bottom just before the canal lock and bridge you rejoin the path that takes you back to Newbank Garden Ctr car park.
